Meet Dr. Rushton

Dr. Michael J. Rushton is a happily married father of 10 wonderful children and has lived in Eastern Oregon for almost 20 years!

Dr. Rushton graduated from the University of Utah in 1993.  He then atttended the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida in 1997 on an academic scholarship.  He concurrently earned a Masters in Biomedical Sciences.  And lastly, he completed his formal education as a 3-year surgical resident in Salt Lake City based out of the VAMC and the University of Utah Medical Center in the summer of 2000.  He has been in private-practice in Eastern Oregon ever since. He is also a USTA-certified Triathlon Coach.

He is the co-founder and Medical Director of JM Orthotics based in St. George, Utah, and has played a large part in bringing some of the newest and most exciting changes to the  fields of biomechanics and orthotics across the country and is recognized as an innovator in the podiatric profession.  He has a registered patent on a foot related device.

Dr. Rushton loves sports and athletics!  He is a former professional skier and is a 5-time Ironman World Championship finisher!  He has been ranked as high as 2nd in the country for his age group by the United States Triathlon Association, and has competed for the United States in several World Championship events!  He is also the course record holder and 2-time Champion of the 285-mile Doxa Threelay, widely considered to be the most difficult triathlon in the world, finishing in 24 hours and 10 minutes!  Needless to say, he understands the importance of healthy feet!

But most importantly, Dr. Rushton loves feet and the field of podiatric medicine!!  He wants to be your podiatrist and will work hard to make your feet feel their best!
